Every Day is a Training Day!

It's time to get the training plan started. This is the hardest part of training for me, to get the plan organized and set. I have to take into account the weeks I have the boy, and all the other things going on in life, and be sure I make the time to follow the plan. So, after hours of lamenting and editing, the calendar is done! The great thing is that I have 22 weeks of training, so that is PLENTY of time to get myself prepared for a half marathon. 13 miles of running seems so daunting and excruciating, but with a set plan, I know I can do it. This calendar is specific to my needs and schedule. Everyone's lives are different, so when looking online for a training calendar, don't feel like you have to follow somebody else's calendar exactly as it is. Make your own for YOU!! Spend the time, it's worth it! Here's the plan: Week Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday 1 5 m strengthen & yoga cycle 5 m strengthen & yoga rest cycle

.....and so it begins.....

Welcome to the beginning of something awesome and exciting! I've been wanting to start a blog for a while now, but I've never made the time. Being a crazy busy single mom who works full time, loves a sweaty workout, spends hours in the kitchen cooking up a storm, and tries to have a social life, the thought of lying in bed typing on the computer for hours about all those things I do sounded wonderful, but always got pushed to the back burner. But, a few life changing events happened all within a short period of time, and I decided that I am going to carve out the time to start sharing with the world the craziness of my life. I live a wonderful life and I feel very blessed. But that's not to say it is a struggle sometimes, as all of our lives are. The goal for me is to live a life filled with purpose, meaning, and love. I am the type of person who does not sugar coat things or beat around the bush. I am blunt and sometimes crass. This blog is not going to be for everyone,
